for citizens to petition the obama administration to take action on issues that they find very important to themselves. the the site makes civic engagement easy and has sparked some interesting causes. and its policy of issuing a response if a petition gathering 25,000 signatures in 30 days has caught the attention of the internet trolls. it was the forum used by over 100,000 texans to secede from the united states, which resulted in another petition to withdraw. anything can happen. you can see where this is going. but there's one petition on the site that we here at "the ed show" can certainly get behind. it's a substantial stimulus project that would create millions of jobs, boost america's steel industry, got to love that, expand our space program, and basically guarantee our national security. what could be better? someone has petitioned the administration to build a death star. the fictional moon-size space base capable of destroying entire planets from "star wars." just under 2,000 people have signed the petition to ask president obama to secure the resources to construct a death

of their upset over comments made on sunday morning talk shows by a member of the obama administration on the weekend after the attack on the u.s. consulate in benghazi. republican senator susan collins has now decided that that administration official, u.n. ambassador susan rice, is someone she could not support for secretary of state if president obama nominates her for that job because susan rice chose to appear on those sunday shows at all, regardless of what she said there. >> i continue to be troubled by the fact that the u.n. ambassador decided to play what was essentially a political role at the height of a contentious presidential election campaign by agreeing to go on the sunday shows to present the administration's position. >> seriously. they're no longer even complaining about what she said. they're complaining that she went on a sunday show. so, therefore, she can't be secretary of state. for senator susan collins, appearing on a sunday show is something a politician would do. she doesn't want somebody for secretary of state who would do something like that. be totally in

. is that accurate? how do you read this? >> this has been a disaster for the obama administration. this has been a failure. the congress has been at the president's throat about this. basically what could happen here, instead of closing it all at once, this report suggests that the 166 people left can be brought one at a time into the united states to be tried. some of these people have been there for almost ten years and charges haven't been brought against them. some will be charged by military tribe unl in guantanamo. some can be tried in american courts in america through some combination. that's pretty much how it looks like it will be. it will be thinned out if not closed. there are six prisons and federal prisons that can handle these gitmo detainees. it also says that the changes should be made at some of the sites. what are we talking about logistically. >> it doesn't strike me as all that lodgist iing -- a huge logistical challenge. i have been to guantanamo a couple of times. the prisons built there are actually built on the models, the actual physical plans of american maximum securi
